Although growing up deeply rooted in the church, it took her witnessing a miracle healing of a friend at a Christian camp for Lauren to begin to embrace a personal relationship with God, not just one on paper. Her mantra of linking moments together to truly experience the living God is not just lip service, but is something she has lived out - taking a leadership position within the Michigan State University Gospel Choir when she doesn’t sing; going to seminary school simply to study the Bible more; being diagnosed with MS but not letting it define her; becoming an author and speaker based on a dream she was given; creating an app of Christian emojis from a joke with a friend; and now working with NBA and NFL players in the world of sports philanthropy to help them leave their fingerprint on the world. In all of these endeavors that are seemingly unrelated, God has linked them together by equipping Lauren to use her voice for evangelism no matter where he places her. As Lauren shares, life with God is like a puzzle piece; you might not know where each piece fits while you’re experiencing it, but when you look back you can truly see God at work and what a masterpiece he can design your life to be if you just “Try God”!
