Manage episode 340360366 series 3327093
What is your current state of mind? Are you capable of changing your current self-limiting beliefs that were instilled in you at a young age? The relationship between mindset and mental health is extremely important because developing mental agility and resilience is vital to your well-being. A person’s attitudes and their beliefs tend to drive their actions. Then each action have consequences that affect the world around them. It follows, then, that if the person’s attitudes and beliefs are altered, then so is their reality. But is it possible for someone to purposefully change their mindset?
Yes, you can reprogram the subconscious mind. We all have programming from when we were very young and thee programs even started before we were born. We can refer to this first seven years of life as to the programming of the subconscious mind. The most influential perceptual programming of the subconscious mind occurs from birth through age six. This is often referred to as the "Theta" state and happens during earlier childhood.
If you were born into poverty, that with comes with deeply seeded childhood issues - it would be wise to switch up your programming just to remove yourself from the low-level thinking belief system. To rewire yourself, you need repetition of a new thought/way of thinking and self-affirmation. This form of repetition will change the way your subconscious functions. As an adult, that internal change — meaning the way your subconscious works and parts of your belief system — is needed. No one is perfectly wired. It can take 22-66 days to reprogram your subconscious. While other people may good results after 7 days. However, the timing to reprogram will depend on your belief system. In order to change your beliefs, you may have to switch up certain things that you enjoy too much. For example, certain entertainment can be damaging to us, or even wake us up to knowledge that we didn't know about depending on your level of focus. We all enjoy a good movie, but at times we have seen those movies with hidden subliminal messages. Which may be in the form of music, videos or images, that are too faint or quick for most people to consciously perceive. Although these quick images, lyrics, or videos may seem below our awareness at the time, they still stimulate the brain and affect behavior. If we see subliminal images, they can change our brain activity and behavior. One of the best Disney movies, The Lion King, was also reported to have a subliminal message in it. There are many reports that the word 'sex' is often being seen in numerous Disney movies – The Lion King is no exception. There's a lot happening in every movie—more than most people can catch after one or even several viewings. The horror film The Exorcist is well known for its scary yet effective use of subliminal images throughout the film, depicting a white-faced demon named Captain Howdy. This image is shown in the character Father Karras' nightmare, where it flashes across the screen for a few seconds before fading away.
You have to remember you are like an entity in the conscious mind. But the subconscious mind is just like a machine, it records, pushes a button, plays back. The subconscious mind is a habit mind, and the most important thing about a habit mind is that you don’t want it to change; because it is resistant to different programming. Your subconscious mind is the key to success – and you can reprogram it. If you want to live the life you desire, then it's time to decide, to commit and to resolve. It's not what we can do in life that makes a difference – it's what we will do. If you're ready to change your perception on a few things in life, then listen up because this episode is jus
