Spoiler alert: we all have a personal brand, but are you truly harnessing yours with confidence?
Today’s conversation is a juicy one. Marina Middleton is the founder and CEO of Empowered Confidence, a personal branding agency that teaches current and future female leaders how to leverage their life story and their authenticity and turn that into a powerful personal brand.
Marina was very young when she became pregnant with her little boy Sebastian, and it was disruptive to her life. But she said, “I'm gonna figure it out!” And she went on to have a successful corporate career before transitioning into entrepreneurship.
We go deep into redefining your personal brand as a mother, how confidence translates into influence, and why we need to treat social media as a marketing tool.
In this episode you’ll hear about:

  • Marina’s unexpected pregnancy journey at age 23, and how she navigated a toxic relationship and growing up in a conservative family
  • How self-worth is at the root of most women’s lack of confidence. We all have amazing ambitions and dreams and desires, but negative talk and fear of judgment can hold us back
  • The boundaries Marina implements on social media, how she leverages feedback as “data”, and why she unfollows people (even her friends!) if they subconsciously influence her creativity and content
  • Marina describes what life looks like as a mom to her 7-year old son, from her morning rituals, to her “themed” days (Mondays = content creation, Fridays = admin), and the importance of finding time for herself every day
  • We all have a personal brand - but WE get to control the narrative around it and what we are known for
