This podcast is hot off the press!
I spoke with Larry Reaugh, president and CEO of American Manganese, a legend in the industry with 53 years in mining. The company (TSX.V: AMY, Pinks: AMYZF, Frankfurt: 2AM) is a diversified exploration and development company focusing on recycling Lithium Ion Batteries (LIBs) and minerals needed in the battery and steel manufacturing industries. It has a unique battery recycling technology that recovers 100% of the cathode material in a spent battery, say, from an electric vehicle. This type of battery, of course, contains material that is currently in high demand, such as cobalt.
The technology, which is closed loop, closes the loop itself in terms of reusing old batteries and lessening the impact on the environment. Major companies like Apple have pledged to make their future products from 100% recycled materials, so American Manganese is well positioned.
Along with recycling, American Manganese also has promising U.S. and Canadian mining exploration properties with manganese, cobalt, niobium, gold, silver and tungsten.
Their website is http://americanmanganeseinc.com.
I hope you enjoy!
