For Pride Month I'm highlighting people who have experienced first hand the intolerance, homophobia, and cruelty that the LGBTQ community have faced for decades.
This week my guest is Wendy Cole, who finally was able to live her authentic life when she transitioned at the age of 67.
Today, Wendy coaches not only transgender people but even their family members on how they can support them.
We covered so much ground in this interview and it's equally heartbreaking and uplifting to hear about how she was treated by her family and even doctors in the 1960's and where she is today.
