I had the pleasure of interviewing Lizbeth Meredith about her two daughters who were kidnapped by their own father. The girls were taken overseas. I had the pleasure of watching the lifetime TV Movie Stolen by Their Father. Lizbeth also helps survivors heal and tell their stories on popular true-crime channels. Lizbeth has been a light and a beacon of hope for many. She has worked as a child abuse investigator and domestic abuse survivor's advocate. Her Biography is below. My indie memoir became the Lifetime TV movie Stolen by Their Father, and today I help survivors of unspeakable deeds unpack their stories through interviews that are woven into documentaries on a popular true crime channel. I love to laugh and find humor and grace in the darkness, and I celebrate well-told stories of persistence. A kidnapped child whose own children were kidnapped and taken out of country, intergenerational trauma, the lifelong pursuit of healing, and the fact that time does not heal all wounds are some of the topics I speak on. Reinventing ourselves after midlife, solo travel, and navigating mental health are also areas of expertise. I am proud to have retired from a career in probation, and before that, worked as a child abuse investigator and domestic abuse survivor's advocate. Biography
Lizbeth Meredith is an award-winning author, speaker, and online teacher and coach living in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her memoir, Pieces of Me: Rescuing My Kidnapped Daughters is now a Lifetime television movie, Stolen By Their Father. Lizbeth provides coaching for those grounded in grit, ready turn their past challenges into their superpowers rather than merely “get through them.” She proudly served crime victims and offenders for 30 years in Alaska. In her off- time, she enjoys movies at the theater, talking with podcast guests at Persistence U with Lizbeth, and Facetime chats with her adult daughters and grand-pets.
