Manage episode 343975901 series 3247971
Christine Damko, Economic Development Analyst of City of Temecula’s Office of Economic Development. With a strong background in Urban Planning, she has a unique knack for interpreting detailed government development code requirements into simple relatable terms that a business owner or developer can understand. In 2008, this talent propelled her into the City Manager’s Office focusing on Economic Development and Special Events. It was here that Christine spent time and learned the importance of building relationships with outside organizations, including non-profits, special districts and the multi-facets of the business community. In 2010, she moved on to focusing solely on Economic Development, specifically managing the City’s business attraction, retention, community outreach and marketing and overall City branding programs. Christine recognizes the importance of engaging with the public and building strong community partnerships. She has successfully employed creative solutions and innovative programs for business attraction and retention, and continues to be a key resource when looking to do business with the City of Temecula. Prior to working with the City of Temecula, Christine worked as an Urban Planner for the County of San Diego, the fifth most populated county in the United States from 2000 to 2004. It was at the County where she developed a strong foundation for planning and in-depth environmental and zoning principles that she actively uses in her current field of Economic Development today.
