Hidden Fears and What to do About Them with Linda Ugelow
Manage episode 320981002 series 2996979
Sharing your story and yourself with others can be terrifying at times. And I’m not just talking on stage. I can’t tell you how many times people come to me saying, “I feel like I lost my voice in the relationship.” Being under the spotlight whether it’s on stage or in a 1:1 conversation, can lead to full-blown panic. I’m talking you’re supposed to be flying to Italy tomorrow and you just realized your passport is expired levels of panic.
It’s not just nerves that hold us back though (I wish it were that simple), there are sneaky fears, memories, and beliefs operating under the surface that influence our confidence in sharing more of ourselves. Linda Ugelow joins me this week for a conversation around what keeps our voices trapped and how to set them free.
If you listen for no other reason, tune in to hear the embarassing story of how I ran out of a talent show mid-performance in 5th grade.
