On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Florida Panthers Historian Francisco Oporta(@fjojr and @FLACatsHistory) to break down the Panthers 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, where it was domination from the start, and it manifested into two power play goals, a short handed goal, and an empty netter as the Cats put an end to their four-game losing streak and are now one point behind the Leafs with Toronto having a game in hand. It was the return of Anthony Stolarz, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Steven Lorentz and they received their championship rings on Wednesday morning, and were honored in the middle of the game, but it was spoiled not even midway through the first period as the Panthers got two goals 50 seconds apart in the first and never let up from there. Sam Reinhart scored his fourth shorty of the year (17th overall) and Carter Verhaeghe now has two goals in the last three games. The Panthers gave Sergei Bobrovsky every opportunity to see the pucks and not allow second chance opportunities while facing the 24 shots on the night, while only surrendering one on the penalty kill shortly after the Panthers got the SHG. Mackie Samoskevich was rewarded with PP1 time after scoring what was the game-winning goal. How big of a win was this?
