The LSU Tigers had a historically bad defense last season. Statistically, it was the worst unit that a purple-and-gold defensive unit has ever fielded. Whether it was the 700+ yards surrendered in a loss at Ole Miss or the average of 28 points per game given up, the Tigers defense held back a prolific offense that deserved to be on a College Football Playoff stage.
