The Miami Hurricanes have just FLIPPED three star defensive lineman Mykah Newton from the NC State Wolfpack. The Newberry, Florida standout visited Miami in late July and recently earned his Hurricanes offer. The opportunity to be coached by Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor weighed heavily on Newton, who ultimately decided joining the Hurricanes was his best move. Newton has been a force at Newberry, recorded 13 sacks and 3 forced fumbles last year. He’s been putting on quality weight, now 263 pounds, and will likely play on the interior of Miami’s defensive line.
