After a brief hiatus (thanks COVID), LIFTING THE LYD is BACK! This time it’s a Lockdown Special with someone world infamous for spray painting quantum poetry onto live sheep... Yes, really! Meet crime novelist, poet, science-poetry installation artist & playwright Valerie Laws!
She’s had 13 books published, written 12 commissioned plays for stage and BBC radio and worked as a writer with pathologists and neuroscientists.
She talks about the highs and random oddness of her very varied career, and about coping with a disabling car crash at the age of 31.
She's also my mum (talk about big shoes to fill...) and we spent a good few months in lockdown together, so I'm thrilled to bring this podcast to you as something positive to come out of a weird few months!
