In Part 3 in our weekly Technology in Supply Chains Series, we speak with highly accomplished naval architect, and President of WISTA Australia, Monika Lemajic. Monika has served with distinction across multiple domains, and has been a noticeable champion of women in maritime; her unique pursuit of (true and practical) equality is particularly admirable.
Monika's experience directly informs how she works with people, processes and technology, which has lead to a number of transformational outcomes: Listen in to hear Monika's very own 'Hidden Figures' moment!
Highlights
1. Naval architecture: Building a docking system for a Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD)
2. 'From Lust to Dust' - Framing an asset lifecycle
3. Behavioural + change management: Removing fear and walking away
4. WISTA Australia: Community building, support, partnerships and advocacy
5. "There's no room for women in maritime" and a pioneering 'change room' incident - From being shunned to becoming a frontline leader
6. People, processes and technology (tools) - Startups and digital twins
A special mention and thank you to AMSA (the Australian Maritime Safety Authority) who has proactively demonstrated global leadership in championing the cause of women, and protects Australia and our regions' maritime environment from disasters, risks and threats.
