Though Canada’s health industry had long been seen as a difficult one for investors to enter, we look at the ways in which they have been able to break into the market and take advantage of its opportunities. We also explore important considerations for lenders and management in the industry as a result of complex funding regimes and unique regulatory requirements, such as where regulated health professionals must fulfill certain ownership and/or management roles within corporations practicing within some health professions.
