Security alert inside of NAFTA: how the war on drugs impacts the business environment in North America. The state of the security environment in Mexico has direct repercussions on border security and customs management, the cost of international commerce for American companies and the capacity of USA to be competitive by taking advantage of NAFTA. In the security ecosystem of the border region, actions taken by clandestine and legitimate actors impact the whole business environment of the North American block in unpredictable ways. How violent is Mexico? What is happening on the war on drugs and how does this so-called war affects the security and the commercial and financial interests of the US in Mexico?
