4:20 pm An Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is a card that proves you are authorized to work in the United States for a specific time period. You may apply for an EAD if you are eligible under various categories, such as refugee, asylee, student, or spouse. This month, we are joined again with eminent immigration attorney, George Willy to talk about the automatic extension of the EAD.
4:50 pm After the drone and missile attack on Israel last week, the US and UK imposed two new sanctions on Iran intended to disrupt the local production of these weapons. In the past, similar sanctions have been imposed on Russia – especially on the sale of crude oil – but other countries have taken advantage of it - like Reliance Petroleum – and made money in the deal. How effective are these sanctions or are they just political and diplomatic theatre for the public? We ask Sridhar Kotha and Chetan Dave to enlighten us.
5:20 pm The Youth Leadership Development Program has been mentoring graduating high schoolers in their senior year to expand their horizons when selecting future goals and career paths. Over the past 17 years, a few hundred teenagers have graduated from the YLDP with a view of commerce, politics and ethics that they would not have been able to experience on their own. IACF President Anu Kulkarni and Board members Kavya Reddy and Jayshree Bondu join us today to explain how the program works.
