Justice Beth Deer Walker, ’87, was elected to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia in 2016, becoming the first Justice elected in a non-partisan race. She served as Chief Justice both in 2019 and 2023. Learn about her previous career as lawyer and her current duties serving on West Virginia’s highest court.
