They discuss the absolute necessity of being 'filled' (controlled) by the Holy Spirit and not ourselves. The "fruit of the Spirit" of love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance to make our marriages thrive, can only come from God's Spirit within every believer in Christ. We don't have it naturally. To love one another to forgive one another as God has forgiven us, can only come when we humble ourselves before God and ask His Holy Spirit by faith to give us the power to do what we can't do in ourselves. That's the key to a happy home!
