Coming to you from the Drake Building of the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, I sat down with the OSIRIS-REx Science Operation Lead Engineer, Sara Balram Knutson, about her role in the mission. I’ve been working with Sara for 7 years and hardly knew about her life until we chatted during this recording. She has an extremely important job on the mission that has considerable responsibility. She and her team plan and monitor for every aspect of the payload instruments in the most detailed of fashion so that the mission was able to meet its Level 1 goal of collecting a sample. As a women in engineering, Sara has had some highly positive experience on the OSIRIS-REx mission and with the team. Recorded on 15 February 2019.
