Over the years we have created a list of preferred vendors in Park City. If you don’t have a list, I recommend that you create one. I find it tremendously valuable for my business as well as my clients.
We have plumbers, electricians, handymen, interior designers, loan companies, and more on our list. You do have to be careful when referring people to lenders because you have a fiduciary duty with them, so don’t steer people to just one lender. I’d suggest recommending three different lenders.
If you go out and build relationships with these vendors, you will get business because of it. When choosing who to work with, use a phone book and not Google. You’ll find more people that way, and not just those that are paying to be at the top of the list.
Acknowledge the vendors when they do a good job, and they will acknowledge you in return. If you do this right, you will create referral relationships.
If you have any further questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
