For this episode, we talk with Ed Grimpe, Manager of the Southeast Region for B. Riley Wealth Management. We go over his move from 17 years in the wirehouse channel as a producing manager to then a producing manager in the bank channel followed by his current role in a small boutique firm. Ed goes over his opinions on how the wirehouse model is gone, while the bank channel continues, and that advisors must pick their best path based on their skill set. He also goes over the importance of maintaining your book of business and how being involved in the investment process is important for the advisor and client.
