In 2011 Louise moved into the independent film and TV sector, working as a freelance Production Manager, Line Producer and Producer on short films, features films, children’s TV drama, commercials and live television for clients such as Nickelodeon, Buccaneer TV, RTE, TG4, The Fyzz Facility, Out Of Orbit, CauseAscene Films, Village Films, The Guardian and Northern Ireland Screen.
In recent years, Louise’s credits include The DIG (2018) – Line Producer (Best Irish Film Galway Film Festival), Produced by Brian J Falconer at Out of Orbit
ECHOES (2018) – Producer (Best Irish Sci Fi Short – Dublin Sci-Fi Awards) for CauseAscene Films
TAKE THE SHOT (2017) – Line Producer. Produced by Claire Mundell at Synchronicity Films
In 2018 Louise founded Gallagher Films, and started work on the company’s first major project A BUMP ALONG THE WAY Staring her Sister Bronagh, written by Tess McGowan and directed by Shelly Love. It was developed and produced with the assistance of Northern Ireland Screen through their New Talent Writers and New Talent Focus programmers. It was further supported by Yellowmoon Post Production and Roma Downey. It has now completed, and was selected to open the 2019 Belfast Film Festival and is out soon.
