Olly Alexander is fearless. At 18, he left the village he grew up in and headed for London determined to make it as an Actor or Singer. It is that life experience that drew him first to the role of Ritchie in Channel 4's record breaking drama 'It's A Sin' (the show had the most views of any box set on the All 4 platform - 18 million and counting and the show also helped HIV testing increase by over 600%) I instantly related to Ritchie. The show was an amazing experience for me. It was so important to understand this period of time and there is still stigma attached to it today. I learned so much about queer history and I love Russell T. Davies. 'Queer As Folk' meant so much to me growing up and when I met him I asked him about his other show 'Years & Years' which he named after us!! I loved that! Olly is fearless yet again, this time with his leap into solo work. 'Starstruck' is his first single without Emre and Mikey and as 'Years & Years' as a solo project.
