LGBTQUIA domestic violence - A victim tells his story.
Manage episode 430481315 series 3576698
Domestic violence in the LGBTQIA+ community
Victims of narcissistic abuse/domestic violence in the LGBTQ+ community do not have the same support as victims of domestic violence in a heterosexual relationship .
David, a young gay man tells his story, revealing the trauma he suffered as a victim of narcissistic abuse. He also offers much needed insights into the lack of trust the lgbtqia+ community has in a system that has not protected them in the past, which prevents them coming forward to report their abuse.
David also gives valuable advice around how we actually CAN support victims of domestic violence and narcissistic abuse in the LGBTQIA + community, which begins with listening to them.
