2 Corinthians 6:8-10 (NIV)

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

Ephesians 5:19b-20 (NIV)

1. Thank God for what He has done in the past.

James 1:17 (NIV)
“Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.”

2. Thank God for what He is doing in your present troubles.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NLT)
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
