RePatriot is a community set up as a platform for inspiration, advice and information that aims to facilitate access to opportunities for Romanians abroad. We build support tools, offer advice, mentoring, business education, and we coalesce important institutional forces with entrepreneurs, personalities and civil society. At the end of 2020, they also launched an app that brings Romanians abroad closer than ever. Through the RePatriot App you can always be connected with opportunities that Romanians around the world offer, such as jobs in the country, partnerships, investment programs, services, events, networking or simply useful information. So far they have met with over 12,000 Romanians, they have been followed online by over 20 million Romanians from abroad and they have focused on drawing the attention of the authorities to the role the Diaspora can play in the development of the country. The first seven RePatriot Summits were a success! There were more than 1800 participants, and the discussions between entrepreneurs from the Diaspora and those from Romania resulted in business ideas in sectors such as IT, energy efficiency, tourism, agriculture, construction and technology. For the first time in more than two and a half decades, business people from the Diaspora were called home to be invited to invest money in their home country or at least transfer some of the know-how they have gained across continents. In the realm of psychotherapy, Gabriel Aftenie is trained in Ericksonian Hypnosis and Result-Oriented Short Therapies, enabling him to guide individuals towards positive and transformative change. His expertise as an NLP Master Practitioner since 2004 further enhances his ability to facilitate personal growth and development. As an entrepreneur, Gabriel Aftenie has been self-employed since 1993, accumulating extensive experience in general management, HR management, and financial management.
