“Even though they’ve had slightly different focuses, at the center of the 3 albums I’ve released to date has been the idea of connection - between yourself and others and yourself and your surroundings. Particularly when it comes to Pride, understanding the people who gave you the right to live your life are crucial. The new album, 'Fun City' that comes out in September is about the LGBTQ community, its past, present and future, and the incredible trailblazers we’ve had musically and politically. I’ve been writing about how our safe spaces are so important and how the LGBTQ community has stayed strong and creative in spite of what life has thrown at us. My goal with this album is to support, uplift and amplify the LGBTQ community and the people within it who are fighting for our future, supporting our present, and reminding us daily of our history and why we can’t take a second for granted.” - @brightlightx2
