Welcome to another episode of the Dad’s Army podcast. This time out it’s a commentary on series 3’s Sons of the Sea. We’re joined by the director, Mr Mervyn Cumming who in his time has directed episodes of EastEnders, Coronation Street, Brookside, Byker Grove to name just a few. Mervyn is in the middle of directing a new documentary about Dad’s Army, and he takes time out from his busy schedule to record a commentary with Oliver and I. Mervyn is able to provide an insight into what it’s like to make TV programmes and helps in creating a slightly different commentary podcast to usual. Stay tuned at the end of the commentary to hear a brief interview Oliver recorded during the filming of Dad’s Army and Beyond: The Frank Williams Story about what it’s like to work with Frank. As always, please send your feedback to james@dadsarmypodcast.com or oliver@dadsarmypodcast.com or follow us on twitter www.twitter.com/dadsarmypodcast or www.twitter.com/olivercrocker. Enjoy the episode and we’ll be back in around a month’s time.
