The scripture is about the Gospel of Christ, but it has been casually treated - to the point that pastors and churches have not been as passionate in guarding it as it ought to be guarded. In Paul’s closing words, 1 Timothy 6:20-21, he did not mind repeating himself if only to impress upon the heart of Timothy the importance of the Gospel. He asked him to guard it, to avoid anything that will swerve him from it, and to guard it in the strength of God.
