The game director of Helldivers 2, Mikael Eriksson, has responded to the backlash over the Escalation of Freedom update (that failed to unlock the anti-tank mines and nerfed the flamethrower). Return of the Living Dead -

A lawsuit has been filed over the rights to the intellectual property of the 1985 horror-comedy "The Return of the Living Dead". Living Dead Media, LLC claims to own the copyright to the original screenplay and the underlying script for the film, as well as other trademarks. The company is suing ROTLD Originals LLC, which was formed in July 2024 and is allegedly using the credentials of Beverly Dawn Hartley, an actor from the original film, to claim ownership of the intellectual property.
