In this episode of Coaching Conversations, I'm speaking to Sherly Tavarez, an entrepreneur, influencer and trailblazer.

Dominican-American fashion stylist and entrepreneur Sherly Tavarez is the visionary behind Haus of Curls, a brand created for women embracing their natural hair journey. Growing up, Sherly often heard remarks like, "Why don't you brush your hair?" and "Are you going to the salon to straighten it?"—messages that made her feel curly hair wasn’t beautiful.

For years, she used heat and chemicals to straighten her hair, but eventually decided to fully embrace her natural curls. When she couldn’t find a brand that matched her newfound confidence, Sherly took matters into her own hands, launching Haus of Curls. She transformed the negative comments about natural hair into empowering statements printed on t-shirts, creating a brand that celebrates and uplifts women with curls.

As the founder of Haus of Curls, Sherly has built a thriving brand that blends creativity, authenticity, and a commitment to sustainability in fashion. Her unique vision has not only reshaped how people approach personal style but also how they think about fashion’s impact on the world.

Sherly’s journey from stylist to successful business owner is packed with lessons on resilience, innovation, and carving out your own path in a competitive industry.

Get ready for an insightful conversation about fashion, entrepreneurship, community and staying true to your values.
