"Drawn by a Disaster" - Joel 1:1-7, 19-20
Introduction
1. The Disaster in Judah
Joel 1:1-7 - "The vines are destroyed, and the fig trees are ruined..." (v. 7)
2. Crying Out to God in Desperation
Joel 1:19-20: In the face of this overwhelming disaster, Joel prays, "Help, Lord!" recognising the need for divine intervention. (v. 19)
3. The Call to Repentance and Return to God
Joel 2:12: God's response to the people’s suffering is a call to return to Him with all their hearts.
Theological Insight: Disasters often remind the world of brokenness due to sin (Genesis 3:17-19; Romans 8:20-22).
