In this episode of our five-part conversation with Dr. Stephen Meyer, we discuss the innate sense people have for morality and God, as well as some of the scientific beliefs of Newton, Leibniz, and Einstein.

Other topics we cover: the importance of good philosophy, the relationship between relativism and materialism, the fact-value divide, and moral knowledge.

Dr. Stephen Meyer is the Director and Senior Fellow of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture with a Ph.D. in the philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge. He is the author of three books: “Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design” (2009) which was named Times (of London) Literary Supplement Book of the Year, the New York Times bestseller Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design (2013), and his most recent book, Return of the God Hypothesis (2021).
