Today’s Episode “Queen of Diamonds” Hosts Colby White and William Walley welcome their guests, Heather & Trey Aby. Today we tell a story about a guy, a girl and the team of baseball players they love, continuing the long-standing tradition that is the Hattiesburg Black Sox. The team started in 1941 by Mr. Milton Barnes, a man who refused to be told that he could not walk into a ball park, so he changed the game. He made it possible for African America men to play the game of baseball and decades later he took a chance on a gritty catcher from Cullman Alabama, Trey Aby – and the rest is history. The story really begins when Trey met Heather, the true fuel behind the story’s fire. What better way to keep that torch lit than by becoming the first ever 100% Team Owner of the organization.
