On this episode, lead researcher and author Cheryl Lyon shares the stories of three women in the 1880's and their ties to Fisher's Hill and Middletown, Virginia. The book is "Perfectly Unconventional ... The Art and Activism of Three Women in the Shenandoah Valley". Two of the women were artists (one a nationally known speed walker) and the third a writer. Forgotten to local history and rediscovered by accident, Cheryl and her team of researchers have brought the accomplishments of these women 'back to life'.
