Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. For our 232nd podcast we are happy to have Circumscums live recorded opening set for RØDHÅD @ Apollo Toronto 05/17/2024. Circumscums have quickly made their mark on the Toronto underground scene; sharing bills with Ben Klock, Seteoc Mass, Rrose, Rene Wise, and more. They recently made their US debut at the Techno Snobs parties in Phoenix and will be playing at the iconic The Great Beyond Festival later this month.
As the founders of Paradox, their passion for dance music and culture shines even when they’re not behind the decks. Bringing the likes of legends such as Wata Igarashi, DVS1, Truncate, Dustin Zahn and DJ Hyperactive, a no photo policy, and creative venue transformations with top-tier production, these are “iykyk” parties that are raising Toronto standards and turning it into a global techno destination.
