The month of May is Asian-American Pacific Islander month, but for those of us who might not see ourselves in these adjectives, I thought we could expand the description to TCA month - Third Culture Asian month!
So, for Third Culture Asian month, I’d like to share with you 3 back-to-back episodes that together frame the topic of the healing of intercultural and intergenerational conflict in the global asian diaspora community.
On the second of this 3-part series, we’ll hear from Iris Chen, Chinese-American author of the book “Untigering: Peaceful Parenting for the Deconstructing Tiger Parent”, and the different approach that she takes to parenting, and how some traditional Asian values can be better understood from a more holistic perspective.
