Young Thug's trial | 'Stop yelling at me!' Mounk Tounk unloads on prosecutor
Manage episode 439576587 series 3310486
Tensions skyrocketed this week in the Fulton County courtroom where Atlanta’s trial of the 21st century is taking place, as Antonio Sledge (aka Mounk Tounk) continued to backtrack statements he’d given to prosecutors in Young Thug’s judicial proceeding.
Sledge was hammered by Fulton County Assistant District Attorney Adrianne Love on his previous statements to police about an April 28, 2015, drive-by shooting, and he repeatedly used a phrase already made famous by the preceding witness: “I don’t recall.”
Sledge said he was mentally exhausted.
“This stuff you keep asking me, all this stuff that you keep asking me, my brain just everywhere,” he said. “I may have to go see somebody after this court thing.”
Like the prosecution’s previous star witness – that being Lil’ Woody (real name Kenneth Copeland) – Sledge also has a plea agreement after pleading guilty to conspiracy to violate RICO and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
At several points during Monday’s testimony, Love raised her voice and showed visible frustration with Sledge’s non-committal answers.
“Could you stop yelling at me like I’m your child? I’m not your child,” Sledge said.
