His work as a poet and author have earned him national recognition, serving as poet-in-residence at The Jane Addams’ Hull House Museum at The University of Illinois-Chicago and poet-in-residence at The University of Chicago’s Newberger Hillel Center. Check out the film 'Louder Than a Bomb' or be on the look out for his upcoming book, "L-vis Lives: Racemusic Poems"
