Lila Lewis Irving has an MFA in FINE ART from the University of Wisconsin. She has been in numerous exhibitions, including two at the Art Gallery of Mississauga. Lila’s work has been widely collected in both national and international collections. Along with her exhibition history, Lila has an extensive teaching career in Ontario and Quebec with over 20 years at the Haliburton School of Art and Design. Lila is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists. On her website, Lila describes her painting, “as an energetic and an intense process which results in emotional and abstracted work which is deeply felt.” Today we are going to discuss this energetic brushwork and her new Covid portrait series.
