Dennis Cronje tells us how he used his autonomy to deliver incredible results at InMode. As MD of ANZ, he is an integral part of a truly global business that recently floated on the NASDAQ. InMode is a serious success story, having just achieved record annual revenue of $206m and 32% growth in 2020. They are the fastest-growing aesthetic device company in the world, specialising in medical devices and anti-aging solutions for plastic surgeons and dermatologists. They were one of only two profitable companies in their sector last year. Dennis’ own story is an interesting one. He upped sticks from South Africa and moved to Australia where he initially struggled with a different way of doing business. But Dennis is a quick learner. He tells us what he saw in Australian business that was different to back home, and what he had to do to adapt and succeed. Episode Highlights: - How Zoom has made people more image conscious - How Dennis took a risk, upped sticks and moved to Australia - How Dennis is presiding over a strong R&D pipeline - What “Managing Director” entails for Dennis - Strategic verticals V local autonomy - InMode’s successful IPO - How business traits differ between South Africans and Australians - How Dennis sharpened up his leadership skills - How executive peer groups have helped Dennis - What Dennis got from one-on-one coaching Useful Links: Dennis Cronje on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/denniscronje/ InMode website: https://www.inmode.com.au/ Richard Triggs on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/richardtriggs/ For a free copy of Richard Triggs’ best-selling book, Uncover the Hidden Job Market, go to: http://www.uncoverthehiddenjobmarket.com
