In this Episode of Aligned and Powerful I had the honor of chatting with Andrea Aase of Three of Cups Medicine!
Andrea drops some epic wisdom bombs in this episode! We talk about what Ancestral healing is and why you want to do it, and Andrea shares her journey of healing her anxiety with her Ancestors. We also chat about what it means to be embodied, how to set boundaries with your Ancestors, how to set up an alter to honor them, and more!
As a certified practitioner of Ancestral Lineage Healing through Ancestral Medicine, Andrea finds joy and purpose through reclaiming her intuition, her connections to the Earth, and especially her ancestors. She is passionate about holding space for others as they reclaim these skills and connections as well. She is part of the adoption constellation, as the child and grandchild of adoptees, but from what she has been able to research, her people are primarily German, English, Scottish, Irish and Swedish (Norwegian through adoption).She spent 17 years in a corporate job, doing clinical research. She holds a master's degree in theology in comparative religions, so she did the academic route for a while. She was raised a Lutheran pastor's kid, luckily with social justice as a principal value. However, church and that religious structure just never felt right in her body. Though she's not currently practicing any formal religious tradition, she receives a lot of nourishment through connecting with her ancestors, with Spirit, and with the Earth through her body and heart. Andrea is queer, on the asexual end of the spectrum. She lives in Saint Paul, MN.
