About our guest:

Esther has served as a 911 professional with SECOMM for 17 years and has filled many roles during her career. She has been a Dispatcher, Certified Training (CTO), and Communications Supervisor.

Esther has represented Benton and Franklin counties on the WA State 911 Advisory Committee's Public Education Sub Committee, which she chaired and provided leadership to for several years. Esther has been the public education coordinator for SECOMM, ensuring that 911 education is shared with interested groups and persons across both Benton and Franklin Counties.

Esther was instrumental in creating and sharing our text to 911 public education campaign in both English and Spanish.

Esther has been the SECOMM Criteria Based Dispatch (CBD) program coordinator and certified instructor for the program. The CBD program certifies Dispatchers to provide pre-arrival medical instructions by phone including telephone CPR and Childbirth. Esther has certifies not only SECOMM Dispatchers, but those from 911 centers in our area.

Esher's passion for public education and telephone CPR merged when she was invited to speak nationally alongside public safety partners at the Resuscitation Academy and Heart Safe Communities conferences.
