Kevin “The Title King” Tacher, CEO & Founder of Independence Title, Inc., joins Access Your Leadership to share his amazing comeback story and he has secured his success 20 years into running his business. In this episode, Kevin talks about the power of relationships and how not only making them, but nurturing them over time has been such a key element to his growth as a leader and his success in business. He shares what it means to not quit and to play “all out” in everything that he does, both professionally and personally, and what that creates in his world. Kevin references the many books he’s authored and shares a few of the stories in those books that tell how and why he started his business - from being an FDNY captain to helping to start a global men’s group. He openly shares how early in his entrepreneurial journey, during the 2008 recession, he was nearly $1 million dollars in debt, paying payroll on credit cards and pulled himself out. Where does one create such commitment and discipline to fight so hard and for so long? What’s the difference between leadership and management and why is it important to figure out which one you like and/or are good at? What is the difference between being an intrapreneurs, solepreneurs, and entrepreneurs? Why is surrounding yourself with the right people so important on your entrepreneurial and leadership journey? What is the fear that comes up that holds you back from making those right kinds of connections? How does taking action transform our learning and why is simply reading and listening to learn not enough?
