We all have an idea of what summer should look like. Sometimes we envision taking trips, having cookouts, and organizing special activities for our kids, but then summer comes, and we feel so overwhelmed that we end up wishing it away. We feel this immense pressure to construct the perfect summer for our kids when all they really want is us and our presence.

The truth is - the best memories are often made in the little moments - fashioning jewelry out of flowers in the backyard, having an impromptu water fight, or enjoying a cold glass of lemonade after spending the day outside.

You don’t have to break the bank to have a summer to remember. Put your phone down and look up. Make eye contact with your kids as they talk to you. Listen & watch intently as they proudly show you the ‘salad’ they made out of dandelions, grass, and leaves, and act as if it’s the best thing you’ve ever ‘eaten’ when you pretend to scarf it down.

We’ve created a PDF for you of ‘100 Things to Do to Make it a Summer to Remember’.
You can find the link below. These are realistic things to do, like looking up at the stars and spending an afternoon at the pool.

Let’s get back to the basics and make it a summer to remember!

  • Our idea of what summer should look like
