First, they consider what seems likely to be an unsuccessful effort by Nebraska Republicans to switch the allotment of the state's electoral votes to a winner-take-all system, instead of awarding votes by who wins each congressional district. Jim says some consistency nationwide would be nice, while Greg laughs at all of the outrage on the left when their Electoral College overhaul agenda is far more radical.
Next, they roll their eyes as Bill Clinton gets ready to release another new book in November, this one about his life since leaving the presidency. Jim wonders whether this will finally be the time when Clinton is forced to answer many lingering questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Finally, they respond to Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg gaslighting Americans about the demand for electric vehicles, the auto industry shifting in the direction of EV production, and saying those trying to stop this movement are like people who wanted to focus on landlines as cell phones were coming onto the market. Jim and Greg point out the major holes in Buttigieg's talking points and why his landline comparison is pathetic.
