Together, we're redefining what it means, looks and feels like, to be doing "woman's work" in the world today. With confidence and the occasional rant. From boardrooms to studios, kitchens to coding dens, we explore the multifaceted experiences of today's woman, confirming that the new definition of "woman's work" is whatever feels authentic, true, and right for you. We're shedding expectations, setting aside the "shoulds", giving our finger to the "supposed tos". We're torching the old playbook and writing our own rules. Who runs the world? You decide. We see in Jesus' model that there are three components of disciple making, and in our culture we usually stick with one. Susie Walther helps us walk out what it looks like to incorporate all 3. Susie Walther is the founder of The Well Training Ministry. As a young woman, she served in the military and committed her life to Christ through the influence of her Army roommate. Susie received much of her early discipleship training through The Navigators and served as associate staff with that ministry for 10 years at Ft. Campbell, KY. Her ministry spans 30 years and counting, and includes leading Bible studies, teaching and equipping, mentoring, speaking at conferences and spiritually coaching Christian women in their ministries. Thousands of women have come through the doors of The Well ministry for Bible study and training, which equip women to more effectively do their own work of ministry in their own spheres of influence. In this episode, John has a conversation with Matthew Clark about spiritual vitality and missional living, and how they are much more connected than we tend to think they are. Matthew Clark is a veteran disciple-maker and seasoned U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot. Currently he is dedicated to making disciples in the most remote corners of the world with JAARS, a missionary aviation organization serving to cover the crucial Last Mile of Missions. Our western Church culture has a habit of going a mile wide and an inch deep. This causes big problems - on a lot of levels - but especially when behavior modification and church attendance do nothing to help our deeper issues. In this episode, John talks with Dr. Marcus Warner about how to bring freedom to the Body of Christ, and how to work toward spiritual and emotional maturity. Dr. Marcus Warner has served as president of Deeper Walk International since 2006. Marcus earned three degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School – M.Div., Th.M. Old Testament, and D.Min. He has written 16 books on topics ranging from brain science to spiritual warfare including Rare Leadership, The 4 Habits of Joy-Filled Marriages, and Understanding the Wounded Heart. Marcus is a conference speaker and who works with both ministry and corporate groups around the world. A Bible teacher at heart, Marcus has taught Old Testament and Theology as well as serving as a senior pastor for seven years.
