Just days before President Ahmed celebrated the first anniversary of her historic Presidency, she was tasked with delivering her first State of the Union message before a joint session of Congress. The general consensus from both political and journalistic observers was that the speech's intent was to serve as an igniter for her 2024 Presidential re-election bid.
