Episode 756: Harris Picks Walz! Now Who is the Old Man? Vance is D.O.A.
Manage episode 433145415 series 83052
This week on Ring of Fire!
Unlike Donald Trump, Kamala Harris took some time and weighed her options before picking her running mate, and her announcement on Tuesday morning was met with overwhelming approval (unlike Trump’s pick of J.D. Vance.) Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will now be on the ballot with Harris in November, and she couldn’t have picked a better running mate to shore up any weaknesses that her campaign may have.
Donald Trump has spent years telling us that President Biden is too old to do the job, and now he’s probably wishing that he never made that claim. Another new poll has found that a majority of voters believe that Trump is too old to be president, and too mentally unfit to hold the job. These are the same attacks that Trump leveled against Biden, and now they are coming back to bite him.
Nothing is going right for Donald Trump, and he’s losing his mind as a result of it. For the past week, every new poll that has come out has delivered more and more bad news, with the bad news seemingly getting worse with each new poll. It is time to face the reality of the fact that the only reason Trump was even competitive in the first place was because people were tired of President Biden, and now that he’s out, voters are energized and happy, and that’s horrible for Trump.
Because J.D. Vance is doing such a horrible job of cleaning up his “childless cat lady comments,” the campaign has decided to put him on the shelf and instead send out his wife, Usha, to smooth things over. Usha Vance did an interview that aired on Fox & Friends on Monday morning where she wrote off her husband’s misogynistic attack on women, but her assurances are being undermined by JD’s insistence on repeating the statements over and over again.
