Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim. — Vicki Harrison

Life seems sometimes like nothing more than a series of losses, from beginning to end. That's the given. How you respond to those losses, what you make of what's left, that's the part you have to make up as you go. Katharine Weber

Grief never ends. But it changes. Its’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. –Unknown

In this episode, we are going to talk about Grief. And because of the heaviness of this topic, we are going to keep it as simple as possible. This episode is meant to give you an opportunity to start thinking about grief in a different way and to hopefully open up the possibility for addressing any grief that you may currently be experiencing.

I get asked all the time to do a class on grief. Grief is so intertwined with so many parts of our life. And often, it gets lost in the day to day. It impacts us in such a way that we often, without really knowing why, are just getting by. Now, I’m no expert. I’m not a therapist or a grief expert. What I can tell you in my experience is, culturally, we don’t address grief well, and I’ve also felt a little lost because of that. Anyone else? And, grief is not just about death. It’s about loss and transition and change. And the reality is that we are all feeling some form of grief, almost all of the time.
